Blackberries

Crystal Valley blackberries are ripened and carefully hand-picked from farms in Mexico, Guatemala, and the United States. They are best grown in temperate climates and, like raspberries, blackberries are called Bramble berries because they grow on thorny bushes.

Over the past several years US blackberry consumption has increased because of new, sweeter varieties that were developed for the fresh market. Not only are they juicy and sweet, blackberries are a super fruit and contain high levels of antioxidants which make them a perfect healthy snack for you to indulge in.

TIPS FOR SELECTION

Choose blackberries that are bright, clean, not bruised, with good color and plumpness. Avoid berries that appear to be leaking.
