Persimmons
Persimmons, also known in Latin as “food of the gods”, were first cultivated in Asia. This exotic fruit is good for you and can be eaten raw or added to various salsas and desserts.
Crystal Valley’s sweet and juicy Fuyu persimmons are picked from farms in Chile.
TIPS FOR SELECTION
Choose persimmons that are smooth, bright, and plump with their leaves still attached.
HOW TO STORE
If unripe, keep them at room temperature. If ripe, refrigerate.

HOW TO PREPARE
Wash persimmons with cold water before eating. Next, cut of the leaves and slice into wedges. You can also peel the skin.
HOW TO COOK
Persimmons are great on their own as a snack or topped with a little lime and spice like tajin. They can also be added to salads and salsas and desserts.
