The cherry pepper resembles a cherry or cherry tomato. It has a sweet flavor and a fairly mild to medium heat.
Choose peppers that are bright and firm with a tight, medium to thick skin. Avoid shriveled peppers and peppers with soft spots.
Wash before eating or cooking. The seeds are the spicy part of the pepper so remove seeds if you want something a little less spicy.
Hot cherry peppers are great for pickling and stuffing. They can also be cooked down for pepper jelly and chutney or chopped and added to fresh salsas, sautéed veggies and salads.
